Hardware Analysis
CTA’s hardware design and analysis process is divided into two categories.
The first category includes those tasks typically associated with hardware requirements analysis, preliminary design, and critical design activities as part of a standard system development lifecycle. These tasks include conducting trade studies, identifying commercial off-the-shelf and Non-Developmental Items, identifying hardware risks and developing mitigation strategies, defining subsystems and assemblies, defining long lead items, and generating design documentation.
The second category includes those tasks associated with analyzing existing hardware devices and performing some level of reverse engineering as well as analyzing hardware development efforts of other contractors.
